Sunday is the Lord's day, My family and I worship regularly. This outfit is my Sunday's Best. Black jacket from Talbot's, gray Old Navy long skirt, Banana Republic cashmere sweater, black high heel boots, Coach purse, and pearl necklace my husband brought me for Christmas. I don't think people use the phrase
Sundays Best anymore.
My grandparents always use this term. It relates back to a time when people didn't have many clothes and their best clothing was saved for Sundays. I also remember having school clothes and play clothes, when my sisters and I would get home from school we would have to change clothes.
