Lovely! I think the lines and colors in this are very elegant. I like the simplicity of it - like planes of color - with a focus on the pages of the letter. the only thing that I might do is let the hair snake out along the surface behind her to echo the drapes of the blanket. It would create more movement and balance and add to the sense that things are getting away from her.
If anyone can give me some pointers on this painting it would be helpful. I like the red cover but the body and hair are lacking. What do you think?

i would prefer a bit curl in the hair.. then again it only reflects how i see myself in this painting. but the whole painting is a beauty!
