My daughters gave me a lot of flack because of this picture. She is showing cleavage which I don't allow for myself or them. Am I morally wrong for painting this image? I've been waiting to paint this picture. Today my daughter was sick so I stayed home from work and squeezed in some painting.

Beautiful painting, great colors,
Best Wishes,

I think of artists as the worlds observers.....
so we dont necessarily paint paintings that just illustrate our own lifestyles...
your illo is very nice.
I understand what you are saying. But my first reaction was that it is very beautiful, bright, cheery. Not offensive. Very nice.
This is good - cleverly done.
I thought of it as a sweet moment between a married couple (well, specifically, my husband and myself), so cleavage is very appropriate in that scenario. It's lovely and captures (for me) the trust in a seductive moment between partners.
Whoah, this is great! What an excellent concept, and execution too. To me it just seems playful, rather than overly erotic or offensive.
I think your daughter is just enjoying giving you some flack. It'd be a very dull world if we only painted things with a certificate of authenticated morality attached! And whose morality would that be, anyway?
very nice, brushy, juicy illustration... she really pops off of that gray background.
Nice touch!
And don't let your kiddo give you too much flack...
I THOUGHT I was cool until my fourteen year old told me otherwise...
ahh! what does he know? He's only fourteen!
Thanks for your comment and have a great day!

What? Noooo! Come on, this is a beautiful painting, in every sense. Nothing wrong with it at all. Love the color contrast.
I think this painting is lovely! Not at all offensive.
GORGEOUS!!!
I like it. Especially the pop of red. Thank you for coming by my blog!
