I use to have time to practice my violin and create art. My abandoned art was a homage to my beloved violin. I was so pleased with my embroidery that I didn't know where to take this piece. My completed art. A cover for a journal.

Crash - Illustration Friday

There’s nothing worse than having your computer to crash at home or work . My beloved IBM at work had a fatal exception recently, I was able to revive it a few times by rebooting, but it couldn't withstand it. CRASH!

If only I could tell you all the things on my heart. If only I could stay out of the box. If only I could release myself from my inner bonds. If Only?

Am I?

Phases of my race I remembered being Negro. On my birth certificate it says Colored. In the 70's when I referred to a teacher as being Colored my friends' older sister enlightened me that we were Black. Now I teach my children African American. I often wonder if it will change again. Am I?

I Spy: Out of the Fire

This was a creative exercise that I tried. I randomly dabbed paint on paper and stare at it until I saw a picture. Out of the Fire I saw a dragon.

Happiness

My friend Cathey got married. I am so happy for her she deserves happiness. In a life filled with so many ups and downs it is a great feeling of joy to share in the life of your friends. Posing with Cathey is my youngest daughter Chloe.

No Time

How do I find the time to create? Before I started working 6 years I had time to indulge in my passions. I am on my laptop in my bed watching the Superbowl. However I did do a quick drawing after Worship Service.
