AEDM: Day 28, 29,30 The End

Day 28 Am I Blue?
It's the end of the Art Everyday Month. I didn't get to post because of holidays. Thanksgiving was at our home this year. My husband has 6 siblings, some their children, 3 of our daughters, plus grand nieces, nephews plus mother-in-law, my house was full. We had great fun and fellowship. Here are the last of my creations.

Day 22 Old Lady Walking
The days are going by so fast and I can't seem to keep up. Making art everyday is not an easy task. Art Everyday Month has kept me focused on  attempting something everyday although I don't always keep up with posting it. I going to miss this challenge when its over. Here are my submission: Day 22 Old Lady Walking, I hope to finish this. Day 23 is a copy of a photograph of my oldest daughter when she was little with her freckled face friend. Day 24 Overcome Evil with Good sometimes the evil wants to take over our lives but we have to fight it with good. Don't let the bad things make you so unhappy that you can't find the joy. Day 25 My hope, her eyes are on the hope of God's word. Day 24 and 25 are in my large sketchbook that doesn't require me to be perfect, just let it go.

AEDM: I fell off the wagon Day 19,20, & 21

Day 19
I was doing great keeping up, but life got in the way of creating. My two Blue Girls are still unfinished, although I tried to work on them. My heart wasn't into it. So I did another bird, a really ugly catumpkin idea, and practiced drawing student portraits in my giant sketchbook.

AEDM: Day 16 Cormorant

The Cormorant they have striking blue eyes. Once again I almost didn't have any art for today. Sunday is a day of worship for my family. I also had some volunteer work to do, so art was pushed to the very end.
Once again I did a bird. I drew and colored this bird on my iPad using 53 and the pencil. Then I cleaned it up in Photoshop. I just wasn't in the mood to sit at my desk and draw while football is on.

AEDM: Day 15 Drawn to birds

www.animalspot.net
Don't know why I'm drawn to birds lately. I almost didn't make it for day 14. It has been such a long day. I added the color of the feathers to match the beak.

AEDM: Day 13 On Track

Finally on the right day with the Art Everyday Challenge. Thank goodness for slower days. My Immunization Audit is over, so when the Clinic visits slow down I can attempt a drawing. I was just doodling on some scrap paper from school dated 2004, and this is what I ended up with. Which by the way I like and wish it wasn't on scrap paper.
So after I got off work I went and purchased some art paper. I cut it in half so I can take out the scrap paper I keep in my file drawer, next time when I'm just doodling it will be on good paper. I tried to convince myself that, that is what sketchbooks are for, but I don't always want to draw in a sketchbook
I'd rather be in my garden

AEDM: Visiting Blick Art Supply Day 10, 11, and 12

Day 10- Blick Art
If you have never been inside a Blick Art Store, here is my short video inside store. I didn't go down every isle. Enjoy.

Day 11 -My husband I were in the Army
I went to Blick Art Supply. Buying on online is great but I prefer actually seeing and touching items. Although they did not have the Peerless Watercolors I wanted, I had a great time. I purchased some dual brush pens and a Fabriano sketchbook. I made a video also. This Blick is not as big as the first one I visited.  Day 11  Happy Veterans Day - My husband and I both served in the military. Day 12 is my fear realized. I love the drawing, hate how I added color.

AEDM: Day 5 & 6

I am still setting myself free, although time is limited, this is what I did today. The first is a painting in my Giant Sketchbook. I just go with the flow. "When a  Blue cloud is over you and you are praying for it to go away. Remember there is hope in the waiting. Psalm 59:9 Because of his strength will I wait upon thee: for God is my defense.
Day 5: Blue trying to take over

Day 6: Self portrait
The second illo is from my iPad and paper 53. I need to practice the things I forgot about using the pencil. It's a portrait of me with my favorite jean jacket on.

AEDM: Playing Catch Up - Day 7: 3 & 4

Still catching up with everyone. Here is Day 3 & 4. The first picture is in my big giant sketchbook that I'm just trying to set myself free. I have a fear of just adding color in my sketchbooks because I want them to be perfect, so I'm letting go. Put on a "hennin" or pointy princess hat and you can rule the world.
Day 3

The second illo is from a sketchbook from 2007 that I am still trying to complete.

CED: Art Everyday Month Day 6:1 & 2

So I missed the opening of Art Everyday Month, here are to pictures two catch me back up.

The first is a drawing I did of my daughter with her Halloween costume as a Vampire with really long lashes. For the second illustration I went to the library to practice drawing people on my iPad. This older man was in the reference room working at a computer.

Oh! So Many Books

Whenever I go into a store, library, or any place where the are a collection of books I want to read them all, look in them all. Reading has taken me to so many different places, era's, and worlds how can you not love reading.

Anthropology display

I buy books from everywhere and gladly have no problem looking in the free bins. My latest read came from the Dollar Store. I have collected several great reads for only a $1. The title was "A Cup of Friendship" by Deborah Rodriguez,   the story of a remarkable coffee shop in the heart of Afghanistan, and the men and women who meet there — thrown together by circumstance, bonded by secrets, and united in an extraordinary friendship.  I am so glad to be a woman in America, that's what this book made me feel the most. It's about friendship but it also deals with the harshness that the women of that country must live through.
