Although I don't post everyday I have been drawing. Here are a few more portraits in pen. This has been a wonderful practice for me.

 

Practicing in Pen

I needed to practice making portraits with ink, which you cannot erase if you make a mistake. Here are my first two.

Some months ago I promised to post my Red Chairs from my Sketch-a-Day book. So here they are. Although my mind is made up to draw everyday, my time requires me to do something different, but I have been drawing. These are some of my current drawings from sketchbook.

CED: Mixed Media Bloom

Creative Everyday: Bloom

So I wasn't excited about the theme, but I was determined to stick to it. This was my 3rd try today to make something beautiful using mixed media. I'm so happy I tried. I BLOOMED.

CED- New Froggy Photos

As my inspiration I did something new. I turned my husband and I into frogs. This illustration is from a photo of us on vacation in Cololnial Williamsburg,  Virginia.
This was a mommy vacation. My children didn't want to admit that it was fun. We stayed for a whole week. I had fun turning us into frogs. Although the husband froggy looks like he's being dragged along, my husband was actually smiling.
 I thought about adding more color but I think the frogs stand out better.

Face 7- Really? Is That Necessary

REALLY?

I see so many talking on their cell phones while driving. You have to ask yourself REALLY. I'm not talking about hands-free. I've been almost hit several times and when I glance to see what they are doing, they have their cellphones to their ear. I'm afraid to talk and drive. I have my children answer my phone when I'm driving. Years ago when cell phones first came out I was talking and driving and I totally forgot where I was going. This was not a good mix for me. When my phone would ring I would just pull over.

Watercolor Added

I haven't attempted a watercolor in awhile so I thought I'll pull them out and see what comes out. I really love this sketch of A Sad Girl. I think some of the emotion was lost when I added the color. More practice is needed, but there is never enough time for all that I want to do.

IF: Sneaky

A little sister can be very sneaky when she wants to hug her brother who is non compliant. A quick little drawing for Illustration Friday - Sneaky.

AEDM - Sunday drawings

On Sundays I usually doodle before the sermon begins. This is my doodle for today. I usually just keep these drawings in my notebook, but it is still being creative, so I decided to post these little drawings.

AEDM - Two Sisters

Today I enter in Art Everyday Month. So I am a day behind and I am not feeling very creative today. This is all that was in me, a drawing I did in my sketchbook last year. Today I added color.

I Could Use a Wish Right Now!

I took the opportunity and put it some time for myself and create some art. The lyrics of Airplanes kept playing in my head, so here is what it looks like to me.I think that every one, once in a while wish that they could have one wish come true, especially when you really need it. What would you do with your one wish?

June Challenge - Monday 6/7

I did this drawing on the 7th but have not had time to add color until today. I wish I wasn't so busy. This is an olde to bobi, one a my favorite French artist. I love her work.

Learning Photoshop

I learned how to multiply my illustrations in photoshop, which made coloring so much easier.
