Literary Friday: Currently Reading

 

Daily Candy A to Z- An Insider's Guide To The Sweet Life. I picked this book up because I loved the art work by Sujean Rim. The book is a guide to style, love, work, shopping and friendship. Daily living 101 with a few laughs thrown in.

I love Philippa Gregory's historical fiction. I recently read her book The White Princess in her "The Cousins War Series". I was delighted to watch how STARZ would interpret the story. Although they are staying true to the books I was disappointed that they felt it necessary to inject nudity into every episode. The story line is so good "WHY". I've been recording it so I can skip the nudity. If you are interested in reading her books in this series this is the order in which you should read them:

The Lady of the Rivers

The Kingmaker's Daughter
The White Princess
The Last Rose (not yet released)
Since we moved I am really behind on my reading goal for this year. However I am determined to accomplish my goal.

Is There Any Art? Paintings

I haven't done much art lately but here are 2 paintings. One was a commissioned piece I did in June of my coworkers sister and her two daughters. The other is of a little girl that attends the same congregation as I (Church of Christ). She had on a white cotton and lace dress. It reminded of the dresses I wore as a child. I took a photo of her with the intent of capturing it.

I've Missed Blogging

If anyone has been looking for me I'm still here. We got the house! (Which was my last post). And with that came the task of moving. It's been 20 years since we moved from Colorado and I totally forgot how much moving disrupts your life. Add to that trying to rent out your old home. I have my new studio, office space. Here are a few glimpses.
