Storms of Life

 I drew this in my planner in March, but we are still in the midst of many storms. My prayer is that we will hold on. It will not last forever. How Long? "You may say," Only God Knows but keep the faith.

My Flesh is as Grass

Today I went to Barnes and Noble, look through some of my favorite magazines, became inspired, became frustrated with myself, and practiced drawing. Then I went back to one of my old sketchbooks picked out a drawing that I was afraid to add color to and this is the result. I colored the leaves, dress, and face with markers, then scanned it, colored the background in Photoshop. I am pleased!

 I've been stalking CED, but unable to submit anything because I have been so busy. However since it is the last day of October I did want to show off my trees I made for school bulletin board. I made a non-traditional fall tree for Guidance Office and a traditional tree for the Clinic, which is my office. The last is a watercolor I painted a while back, but I love it.

Inspire Me Thursday: Believe



God will always make a way where there is no way.

 I didn't finish my current inspiration this morning because I was trying to fix my computer so  I had to use a previous inspiration. It helps me to believe because there were times in my life that I didn't see a way.

If you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.



I think that this is an excellent quote from Albert Einstein. Everyone has their own unique abilities, and judging everyone by  the same task doesn't allow them to see what they are capable of.

What to Wear
My daughters did not think my ensemble was fashion forward. They said I looked like Little House on the Prairie. Oh well it was comfortable and I felt great. Gray wool dress with splits on the side, cashmere sweater, gray socks that I scrounged down and patent-leather combat boots.



CED: New from my sketchbook

 So starting out the new year I am always inspired. But how do you keep that inspiration going? I decided to add a few quotes to my blue and white collection from my sketchbook.

 You know you've read a good book when you turn the last page and feel a little as if you lost a friend

When you're struggling with something look at the people around you and realize that every single person you see is struggling with something, and to them, its just as hard as what you're goimg through.

Art Inspiration

I recieved my book of art by Elizabeth Peyton. I wanted to sit down and enjoy it, so I waited to open it after dinner when everyone went to do homework and my husband went to Bible College. It was very difficult but I waited until 7pm. The living room was quiet. I fixed a cup of coffee and dived in. It was worth the wait.

Painting Complete

I finally finished another painting. I've been reading a lot of art books that have been inspiring me to paint.
