Simplicity : Sketchbook #3

I haven't done a illustration like this in a long time. I love black and white illustration with just a few colors. I have been drawn to the gazelle I don't know why, but I want to draw them with clothing. I hope to draw more of these.

My submission for Illustration Friday word of the week - SWIM. The idea is right before the swim. I remember how much fun it was to go to the public pool and swim with my sisters and friends. What I hated more than anything was being pushed in.

When I was growing up converse sneakers were the top of the line sneakers. Everyone wanted to have a pair. It's amazing how yesterday's fad is still current today.

After I turned 40  I learned something new. I took violin lessons for two years. I had always wanted to learn to play an instrument. I loved learning to play. This illustration commemorates that memory. You never should let yourself get too old to try new things.

I am trying to jump back from my long absence from Illustration Friday. The prompt word was whiskers. I had this old drawing in my sketchbook, so I added color.

My submission for Illustration Friday, the only thing that came to my mind was that great song from the 80's "Sunglasses at Night" by Corey Hart singing about wearing his shades at night so he can watch his girlfriend cheating on him.

My submission for Illustration Friday - Silence. Sometimes you have to bite your tongue, put on a fake smile, and keep your silence.

AEDM submission also. I ran out of time and didn't have time to do another drawing.

" I don't like her!" Why not?, I think she's okay.

Sometimes you can be an influence for good. Try not to feed the negative in people. I haven't participated in Illustration Friday in a while so I thought I would give this word a shot.

So it's been a while since I submitted anything to Illustration Friday. This quick drawing was made on flowered paper.
