IF: Whisper

Let me whisper a secret in your ear. Remember the innocent days of secrets between friends. Whispers of like and dreams, who did what, what she said. This is my submission for Illustration Friday-Whisper.

CED - Light

Creative Everyday
Come into the light.
It's been such a long time since I've been able to post anything in Creative Everyday. It saddens me that I've been unable to create. The school district I work for gave us Friday off which did allow me to have some free time to create this. I couldn't capture the light and darkness the way I planned but at least I was able to do something.

I love the photos from lecoil.com. This painting is based on a model I seen on website.

Literary Friday

I am currently reading another book by Alexander Smith McCall. It's the 5th book in his series of the 44 Scotland Street Novels. It's a tale of some of Scotland's most quirky and beloved characters, all set in the beautiful city of Edinburgh. I don't know what drew me to these books but I love to read them.
So far I am on track to reading 70 books for 2013. I just finished another Philippa Gregory book "The White Queen" part of her the Cousins Wars Series. I love reading series books. I guess because when its a good book you just don't want it to end. My daughter thinks I'm crazy because I read all 20 of Patrick O'Brian's Aubrey/Maturin Series. If you are not familiar with him he wrote Master and Commander. After I saw the movie with Russell Crowe I found out it was a book first and thus started my love.

Draw, Draw, Draw - I'm trying to keep up with mottto

Some months ago I promised to post my Red Chairs from my Sketch-a-Day book. So here they are. Although my mind is made up to draw everyday, my time requires me to do something different, but I have been drawing. These are some of my current drawings from sketchbook.

IF: New

Illustration Friday-New

After I turned 40  I learned something new. I took violin lessons for two years. I had always wanted to learn to play an instrument. I loved learning to play. This illustration commemorates that memory. You never should let yourself get too old to try new things.
