I am suppose to be getting ready to leave for College trip instead I'm in my studio drawing a face. I hope I left enough time time get my hair right.

Finally I am back on track, but for how long I do not know. We are taking our last child to her College Open House. We will be gone for two days.

I've been trying to find the best format to post my illustrations when I'm trying to get back on track. I thought a collage would be good. I really admire artist who can commit to painting daily. I find it a challenge just to draw one illustration  every day. If you wonder why the numbers skip it is because I usually don't draw on the weekend pages of my calendar because of the lines.
 And I found out that I'm an impatient artist, when I start on a piece I would like to be finish the same day.

Daily Face: June 24 Student Portrait

Well no amazing art happening here today, but I did do this portrait. My husband and I are planning a brief getaway with no children, so I don't know if I will have any more portraits for a few days. I hope that while I'm on vacation I will put ink to paper.

Yeah, I think I'm back on the rode to consistency. However I would like to start painting again and drawing more than portraits.

Today I did not accomplish all that I wish. But I spent time just being with my husband, which is never a waste of time. We are best friends. It's nearing the end of the day and I finally made myself come to my office to draw my daily face.

I decided to do something different to catch up my student portraits. Instead of showing them to blog I made a video. Hope you like it. I'm now officially caught up with my portraits. Now I have to catch up my reading challenge.

Daily Face: Student Portraits May 29th, June 1st & 2nd

Finally I'm getting into the month of June with my student portraits. I try to draw these as quickly as possible to work on my drawing skills.

Daily Face: Student Portraits May 26th, 27th & 28th

My husband asked me if my May 26th student portrait drawing was a girl or boy? It's a boy having a bad hair day. It is as though he picked his hair out without a mirror present. I'm sure everyone has had a bad hair day student photo. My mom had my hair looking beautiful for picture day. I missed the school bus and walked to school. Of course it began to rain before I made it to school. I tried to fix my hair but to no avail my cute little shirley-temple curls were gone. The Photographer, Snap! Photo. Everyone laugh at my school picture when we got them back. As  a matter of fact I still have it.

Daily Face: May 25

May 25 was Memorial Day, I had a wonderful time with my friends and family. I had an opportunity to share some of my technical knowledge. It is so very important to try to stay current as you get older.

No Drawings or Reading: Unexpected Life Interruptions

I'm sure in everyone's life at some point in time you have a life interruption were you only function at minimal capacity. Carrying out your daily routine of work and home. That's what happen to me. I'd made plans, expected to complete challenges for myself then boom! So I'm getting myself back together. Here are a few student portraits to try to catch back up with my daily face drawings. Although school is out here, I planned to keep drawing them.

I'm not being responsible, I have so many things that I'm suppose to be doing at home, but I just want to enjoy myself. I know the Procrastination Monster will bite me later.

Daily Face: May 6th & Fabriano Challenge

A very uneventful day. Had a great morning run, work was the usual. I was so excited about adding another illustration in my Fabriano Sketchbook Gray-scale challenge and it came out hideous. I really don't like it. I tried to fix it but to no avail it does not speak to me. Then I had the dilemma of, do I really want to show something I don't like? Finally I decided to show it anyway. Hopefully it will make me become a better artist. I actually have a blog were I show my unwanted art called Fourborne Days of Art.

Daily Face: May 5th

Nothing much to say. Another full day at work.

Daily Face: April 20th

While things were slow at work I picked up my book and started reading. I was transported into the pages.  I did not hear the student who had a paper-cut and needed a band-aid. That's what I love about reading.

Daily Face: March 28th

I wanted to do a family member portrait, but I am too tired, so I did another student portrait.
