Limiting Color Palette

I'm trying something new, limiting my color palette for my illustrations. I'm not sure how long it will last, hopefully, I can stick it out for 30 days. Here is what I have done so far. Click on pictures to see larger view.

Red Did Not Listen

Were you like Little Red Ridinghood and just had to step outside of the boundaries of what your mother said?

Did curiosity or forgetfulness get the best of you before you realized maybe mother was right?

Hopefully, we all learned from our mistakes, and the next time we gave her warning a little more thought.

Growing My Own Greens

I watched a video by Rareseeds.com of greens that like the summer heat. I chose 3, roselle, amaranth, and komatsuna. They are not found at your big box stores. True to their word, they did not bolt. I made a salad with these greens with avocados and olive oil.

Keep Creating Your Own Art

I am thankful to all of my friends and family who encourage me to keep creating and post my illustrations. I have truly missed this from my life.

What to Wear

I haven't illustrated a "What to Wear" in a long time. I am still struggling with having time to create art. Working 8 hour days is so limiting than to working 4 hour days. But I am not giving up, no many how many times I start only to stop again.

I Sought the Lord

I sought the Lord and He answered me and delivered me from all my fears. Psalm 34:4

I have been keeping a daily journal for years, I find it helpful to take a look back because we forget so many little things. I was reading an entry in 2019 when we were face with a difficult decision. We had to make a choice. We didn't know how things would work out.

When you are faced with uncertainty do you turn to God?

We did the only thing we could do, we prayed about it and kept the faith by serving God to the best of our abilities. Each day we went on living our life with hopeful expectation that it would work out.

When I read that entry from a year ago I am amazed how everything worked out. I know it was God who heard our prayer and delivered us from all our fears. He did abundantly more than I could have expected. I am so thankful.

It's so easy to forget when things are going well to look back and thank God for all those things that he has brought you through.

My Zoe

An illustration I made of my daughter in procreate. She is our 3rd daughter, very creative and funny.
