I love to grow plants in pots. Here are the perennials growing in my garden. Remember my lantern, this is what it looks like at night with a tea light in it.

The beautiful glass terrarium came from an estate sale. I couldn't believe when the owner said ten dollars. The original price tag of $239 was still on it. The coleus is an experiment. I read that if you brought it indoors and put it in a south facing window that it would survive the winter. It did. My hopes are to turn it into a topiary like this one found at flickriver.com.

Spring: What's Blooming 2016?
I have the typical southern flowers growing in my yard. I'm so happy to see them blooming. We had a cold winter and some of my plants did not make it. I failed to bring them indoors, because they have survived past Georgia winters.

The other day as I was looking out the car window I spotted a beautiful garden. I wondered why my garden did not look like that, then it hit me, they had more vibrant pinks in their garden so I added a new pink perennial and I love it. "Belleza Dark Pink Gaura" also the Mardi Gras Helen's Flower is blooming.

Garden Tool Hangout
While at an estate sale I saw a brass fireplace set. I didn't need another for our fireplace, but I really liked the way it look. I was wondering how I could re-purpose it when I had a great idea. I could use it for my garden tool hangout. Also the broom and other accessories could probably also be used some way in my garden. Now whatever area I'm working in I will have tools in reach and I won't have to lay them down and forget where I put them.

If you want to find different whimsical garden decor try estate sales. I purchased this garden planter for $15. It was in a greenhouse. I planted it with different herbs. You can't tell but it has three draws and of course the shelving on the bottom. I decided to place my tin blue and white plates there since I have it outside on my patio. Also the white lace tower is from another estate sale, it was a set of three for $5. The picture below is from a book I'm reading called Passalong Plants by Steve Bender and Felder Rushing. My husband says it looks like trash but I would love to visit this garden.Monday, July 13, 2015
What's Blooming in my Garden
This is a Crocosmia "Eva" Lily it requires little care. I love the vibrant color it adds to my garden. I am one of those gardeners who loves to plants perennials.

When I think of enjoying my garden these are the dreams in my head. I would love to build a table around a shady tree or have a sunroom with overgrown plants. How dreamy!

AEDM: Day 13 On Track

Finally on the right day with the Art Everyday Challenge. Thank goodness for slower days. My Immunization Audit is over, so when the Clinic visits slow down I can attempt a drawing. I was just doodling on some scrap paper from school dated 2004, and this is what I ended up with. Which by the way I like and wish it wasn't on scrap paper. So after I got off work I went and purchased some art paper. I cut it in half so I can take out the scrap paper I keep in my file drawer, next time when I'm just doodling it will be on good paper. I tried to convince myself that, that is what sketchbooks are for, but I don't always want to draw in a sketchbook

IF: Looking Into The Garden
"She was confined to only look into the garden but never enter"
I was really please with the way this painting came out. My husband keeps asking me what am I going to do with all of the things I've been drawing and painting? I really don't know. I just feel like being creative has been bottle up in me for so long I'm just happy to let some of it out.
