More Doodles

 I had a little time to squeeze in some quick doodles. Some I like, some could be better. My favorite is the one with the daisy for an eye the inspiration came from Anya Schultheiss on Flickr.

Daily Face: October 30th

Had a good day: work, pass out candy to students who didn't have a stomach ache complaint when they visited my office, organized for my decluttering client, went to football game, came home finished watching Project Runway.

Anniversary

2014

 Today is my 33rd Anniversary! My husband and I still hold on to each other. He is my best friend. We have been on this journey through thick and thin. When times were good and bad, high and low, plenty and little. My prayer is for all those out there to stay together with things get tough because when things are in the low valley they will rise to the peak and oh what joy you shall have.

 I actually had a slow day at work. so I did a little doodling.

Welcome to My Home and School Office

 Welcome to my home and work office. I thought I would share a few fall photos before October is over. I'll start with my school office. I like to use pop-up cards to decorate my desk. Each year I make the tall tree on the wall and have students write what they like most about fall.

 Welcome to my home. Here are just a few of my fall decor photos. I used to have four of these little pumpkins.  One for each daughter, but one year when I was putting them away I broke one. It hurt me that I did that. I still have it, thinking I'll glue it back together. I'm using my vintage Lenox China to set the dining room table. I made some Northern Bean and spinach soup for my husband and I to enjoy. Then its off for a good nights sleep. Hopefully I'll get to dress my bed one year like the Anthropologie bedroom with some darker colors.

Daily Face: October 26th, 27th, 28th

 Finally a day to catch up on portraits. Its getting close to my immunization audit at school and I'm working really hard to get 100% immunization on all students. I really wish I had more time to draw, however these little daily drawings do add up to a body of work over time.

I drew this on Friday but did not get to post it. Today I did not have an opportunity to squeeze in a student portrait. Hopefully tomorrow I will get to draw 2 portraits. Overall it was a good Monday.

I am a Good News type of person. I often wondered if the news focus more on what was good and right going on in the world, would it make a difference. Yet when you listen to the news it mostly covers the bad and evil. Why is that? My husband knows how much I love good stories, so when they broadcast something good he saves it for me. He'll said"I have a story you will like." It always makes me smile or fills me with joy and hope. What if they just split it 50/50, for every bad report they countered with a good.

 Sometimes it good to take it easy and let go of all of your busy plans. I decided to just spend time with my husband and accomplished nothing except enjoying our time together.

I visited  William & Sonoma and  Pottery Barn to check out their fall tablescapes. I love the cast iron pumpkin cocotte from Williams-Sonoma. It is on my wish list to have . It would be beautiful to put my homemade soups in to serve in to family and friends.
