This is one of my favorite nursery rhymes. I even have some book ends in my office/studio depicting it.
This illustration is a copy of Sandra Boyton. When I first got married in the 80's I had this calendar with her drawings and I fell in love with this illustration. Well as you know life has a way of letting things slip away. One day as I was decluttering some old papers I came across this illustration. A flood of memories came back. It made me smile. I still think this is so funny and so true. Sometimes when we are trying to jump the moon, it's not as simple as everyone makes it out to be.
