Fear, Creativity, Project
I am working on my fear factor. I did a prototype for a story that I love. I want to turn it into a book and have it published. It's a children's book. Here is a glance at the first page. Remember: A work in progress.

CED: I Heart Edward Gorey

| Edward's drawing |
I love Edward Gorey's illustrations, so I did my own version of Dracula in Edward Gorey style. I don't know why I am drawn into his darkness. He was an American writer and artist noted for his illustrated books. His characteristic pen-and-ink drawings often depict vaguely unsettling narrative scenes in Victorian and Edwardian settings. I have several of his books in my library.

More Student Portraits
I finally had an opportunity to do some more student portraits. I very seldom get a chance at work to do these. I feel as though I am getting out of practice. My lines don't look as clean.

CED: Past, Present, Future
Still working through my first sketchbook. I went back and added some pages to cover really ugly drawings but they are still visible if you flip the page. The first is an attempt at a fairy in 2006.

And I did another what do you see drawing. At first I saw nothing, I rotated the page. I added in some extra color. Then I was able to see the birds in the trees.

CED: Past, Present, Future

| What do I see? |
In the past I would paint on a piece of paper then illustrate what I saw coming out of the paint. I would never do anything like that in a journal for fear of making a mistake. Voila I painted directly into my old journal and drew what I saw:
